the Draw-Tite Company
Draw-Tite
was started in 1946 by Bill Whichello, an inventor. Bills first product
was a clothes line tightener. He called it a Draw-Tite. Unfortunately,
that was about the time residential clothes dryers became popular
and there wasn't much call for the original Draw-Tite. Fortunately,
Bill was also an avid RVer. He built a trailer hitch for his car,
and since he already had the name copyrighted, he called it a Draw-Tite.
Soon, Draw-Tite became the symbol of fine craftsmanship in the towing
industry.
Over half a
century and millions of trailer hitches later, our 800 dedicated
employees put the same care and patience into every hitch we build
today as Bill Whichello did over fifty years ago. We also make use
of technologically advanced equipment and the most experience in
