of it's unique properties and composition, cotton is the ideal material
for use in high performance air filters. But beyond the mere use of
the material, Green High Performance Air Filters are uniquely designed,
engineered, and manufactured to take full advantage of cotton's capabilities.
Unlike multi-layer gauze filters which can fray and release fiber
particles into your engine, Green uses two layers of tightly-interwoven
cotton fabric, which produces a fabric that is thinner and stronger
than other materials, while maintaining the ability to trap harmful
dirt particles as small as 5 microns. The result is better airflow
without sacrificing filtration. In addition, because the fabric is
so durable, the filter can be washed and reused over and over.
Pleats of
Strength: Deep pleats in the double-layered cotton create a
10-20% increase in filtration surface. This increase allows a greater
volume of air to move more freely into your engine cylinders.
Fits like
a glove: Green's hand-molded flexible rubber base offers an
airtight seal and absorbs vibration. The 2-stage trimmable tabs
allow for a custom fit and airtight seal, even in filter boxes that
have been damaged or have slight surface distortions. The tabs expand
and contract to fit in-between filter box sizes.
Precision production: Other filters use a simple pressure-molded
injection process to bond the perimeter rubber to the interior components.
That method saves manufacturing time, but in the process, a considerable
amount of rubber can seep onto the filtering surface. While it may
not look like much, that spill-over rubber can restrict as much
as 25% of the intended air flow. Green, on the other hand, takes
the time to ensure quality by using a 4-step production process
which maintains maximum air flow.
